Overview

Overview

When it comes to User Experience (UX) or the all-mighty User Interface (UI), one thing is certain: good design will always be in a state of change. Shure, some design styles might survive for a handful of years, but any much longer, you'll run the risk of appearing old and outdated. For example, Google is constantly updating and making minor modifications to its website, video player, comment section, and more. Would you recognize it if you were to hop onto the Internet Time Machine and look at YouTube from 10 years ago? While the basics are there (watching videos, leaving comments, liking and subscribing to your favorite content creator), the overall look and feel has gone through multiple digital transformations since its first launch in the early 2000s.

The Deisgn Challenge

Like any good thing in life, UX/UI needs to be updated and improved, making using whatever tool, service, or device more accessible and enjoyable. This is to avoid having the end user need to use Google to understand what XYZ might do for them. Now, this is where I will openly and freely admit that while I have a deep love for designing and using beautiful UX/UI, my focus in recent years has been on other creative endeavors. The design samples you'll see on this page might not appear to be something a new startup would be excited to use, and that's ok. I developed many of these designs years ago, which shows how important it is to keep your designs evolving!
